Like most things of great value in my life, i came upon Zentangle by chance! A series of events unfolded that led me to sign up for the third CZT Training class in Whitinsville, MA. A coworker sent me the website over Christmas - and by Boxing Day i had read everything i could find on the internet and was properly hooked. I ordered a kit that day, which never arrived... still hasn't to this day... Luckily Maria sent me a replacement kit, and i remember thinking that it would be great if i could teach this artform. Literally THE NEXT DAY the newsletter came out announcing the dates for the 3rd CZT class, the week of my 30th birthday. I signed up almost instantly - and arrived in the states, 5 months pregnant, to become a CZT. My son is now jokingly called the youngest person ever to attend a CZT class.
I have taught a few classes in town, and each class is amazing filled with people who never thought they could do something like this. I love that moment when they hold out their finished tile and say: "WOW, I did that??"
Art is a passion, and so is writing. You can find my blog at www.iamthedivaczt.blogspot.com where, for the past year, i have issued a weekly Zentangle challenge on Monday mornings.
